Submission Terms

Last updated: April 2026

1. Truthful reporting only

By submitting a story, tip, photograph or video to Correspondent Press, you confirm that the information you are providing is, to the best of your knowledge, accurate, truthful, and not misleading. You understand that knowingly submitting false, fabricated, defamatory, or malicious content is strictly prohibited and may expose you to legal liability under applicable defamation, libel, harassment, and fraud laws in your jurisdiction.

2. Liability rests with the submitter

You — the submitter — bear full and exclusive legal responsibility for the content of your submission. Correspondent Press operates as a publisher of user-contributed material. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Correspondent Press, its editors, contributors and affiliates from any and all claims, damages, losses, or legal costs arising from the publication of false, misleading, defamatory or unlawful material that you submit.

3. Rights and ownership of imagery

You confirm that you either own the copyright to any photographs, video or other media you submit, or that you have explicit permission from the copyright holder to license that material to Correspondent Press for publication. You grant Correspondent Press a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to publish, edit, crop, caption and distribute submitted media in connection with the story.

4. Editorial discretion

Correspondent Press retains absolute editorial discretion over whether to publish a submission, in what form, and for how long. Submissions may be edited for clarity, length, grammar, and journalistic style. We may also decline to publish without providing a reason. Approved stories remain online for thirty (30) days unless otherwise noted, after which they are automatically removed.

5. Privacy and contact details

Your contact details are collected solely so our editorial team can verify your story and contact you for follow-up. They are never published or shared with third parties. If you choose to publish anonymously, your name will be replaced with a generic byline.

6. Acceptance

By ticking the agreement box on the submission form, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms.
